Artist's Comments

And again, the picture for my studies. The task was to choose one of the artists from the XIX century and draw an art in their style.

"The East" in Alphons Mucha's style. I admire his arts and love secession :heart:

It awful how my scanner works and none of my work look like they should ;_;

Wow, this is beautiful! I too love Mucha's style but am afraid to try drawing something like it...

Oh I love Mucha so much! I know about scanner problems but I think it looks fine, impressed by the clothing folds.

Hehehe, I wasn't sure if it's not too difficult for me to draw - but, as you can see, it's not that terrible. You should try, believe me :)

That's fine that it doesn't look that awful even if the scanner sucks...blah.

One question connected with scanning - is it better to scan as big as it possible?

Yes in my experience, though some resolutions are too big for my computer's memory to handle and it ends up freezing. But in general, you scan at a larger resolution and then you resize the image in Photoshop (or whichever program you use) and you'll end up with a clearer picture. Me, I usually scan at 600 dpi and then resize from there, for scraps that are less important I use 300 dpi and for things I want to capture a lot of detail I use 1200 dpi. I don't know what others would recommend or what your scanner settings are though!
